311 hails from Omaha, Nebraska and consists of vocalist/guitarist Nick Hexum, vocalist/DJ SA Martinez, lead guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton, and bassist P-Nut. The group formed a unique alternative ska-funk sound and its creative and multi-platinum achievements are only rivaled by its large fan base. With hits such as “Down,” “Come Original,” and “Amber;” 311 cemented its place on the touring circuit, as well as maintaining current rock credibility with “Beautiful Disaster” which appears in the wildly popularGuitar Hero franchise. 311 will release its highly anticipated ninth studio album, Uplifter, in the late spring. It is the band’s first album in over three years. To date, 311 has sold over 8.3 million units in the U.S. alone, with five albums in the top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Sales Chart and seven singles soaring into the top 10 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Chart.
